Remington Medical WEST™ Monofilaments
Weinstein Enhanced Sensory Test (WEST™) uses five monofilaments to measure skin sensitivity and determine peripheral nerve involvement. WEST™ monofilaments provide reliable results with textured, round monofilament tips. The five-monofilament instrument is damage resistant. Two or more filaments can be in position for testing.
Measures 6” x 3” (15 x 7.6 cm) in the storing position. Includes case, test form and manual.
WEST™ hand and foot filaments are individually calibrated for applied grams of force: 0.07, 0.2, 2, 4, 200/300 g. (The 200/300 g designation means the force is selectable depending on how that filament is employed)
The WEST™-D provides an evaluation range from reduced tactile sensation on the face all the way up to loss of protective sensation of the foot. It makes an ideal instrument for those who must test tactual sensation at various locations.
WEST™-D monofilaments are calibrated for 0.025, 0.07, 2, and 10 grams of force. The WEST™-D comes with a manual, soft case and clicker to mark the interval of potential stimulation.
